Picture of Adyar River taken from the roof of LBC in the year 2009
Adyar, Monday 13 May 2013,
Last Thursday at about 5 pm, we came back in Adyar after
a journey of 21 hours. We were welcomed by a delegation of five of the
household and kitchen staff. All with smiling faces and happy feelings of
recognition, which continued during the next days.
There are no major tensions and another foreign worker,
who has come to live and work here, was also present at our arrival. He said he is very
satisfied with the spiritual atmosphere of the place. One of our friends, as by
coincidence, passed by at the dormitory, just as we arrived there with the
pre-paid taxi from the airport.
The weather is very hot and transpiration is running
from the head. Last night it was a little bit cooler and a rainstorm made us
get up to shut some of the windows.
Telephone and Internet connections are still working
without much to do.
We can make our walk to the beach every day in the
morning and in the evening just before breakfast and dinner. Yesterday evening, at the beach there
was one person taking a bath in the sea. He explained, that now that the current
had changed and the water from the Adyar River would stream up along the coast
to the north, one could swim in the sea at the beach south of the river.
We discussed the subject with the other foreigner, who
had also met the swimmer and decided that we should follow this example.
For the rest we are mainly occupied with the
formalities for visa registration at the Indian immigration service.
That's all for now,
Mr. Brooder
Hallo Bruder,
ReplyDeletehappy to hear that you finally made it to Adyar - all the best for your work there!
Please give my warmest greetings to the kitchen staff, Uma, Subha, Nandan and especially Swami.
The German fraktion just had their summer camp - a bit early - it was nice to meet some faces I only knew by name.
As always, I captured a few moments - please take a look here: http://www.theosophieadyar.de/gallery3/
